Soon as I see her walk up in the club (I'm a flirt) Winkin eyes at me, when I roll up on them dubs (I'm a flirt) Sometimes when I'm with my chick on the low (I'm a flirt)

My eye lids felt like they were glued together, I struggled to keep them open. I sluggishly stood up and looked around and tried to focus on my surroundings with hopes that I'd figure out where the hell I am. Slowly the blurry room becomes all too familiar, I concentrated a little more until I recognized my messy room. Oh great! I thought to myself; I didn't end up at another person's weird ass apartment - naked (which was usually the case)! It's half past nine and my senses need time to warm up because my buddies are on their way to pick me up. I dragged my feet across the kitchen floor to the coffee pot, poured a cup of that piping hot black liquid and took a sip. The drink burned my tongue a little, but I didn't mind --don't have time to mind-- gotta shower and get dressed as soon as I finish my cup. Moments later I found myself by the bar near one of the club's speakers. The beats go slithering down my spine to the tips of my toes making them tap with every thump of the bass. Suddenly, the crowd clears and a vision of perfect beauty surfaces. She turns, catching me staring at her-- then a smile formed. Her smile gave me the confidence boost I needed, I picked up my drink and walked towards her.

Ugh, I barely remember last night and here it goes again. Another day, another night to party. I stood up and checked my reflection. First thing that caught my eyes was the doodle on my arm; lifted my sleeve partly and the bigger picture revealed itself. The doodle reached from my shoulder to my elbow and I can't even remember where I got it from. Checked for more evidence of the night that passed, I raised my gaze to my face and to my astonishment, I AGED! Last night I was partying at the prime of my youth, this morning I woke up thirty. The scene was much like the movies minus the montage; I looked at my face and realized that I have squandered my youth partying, obsessed with winning games that people play. I went to bed as an eighteen year old then arose years later, stuck in this abyss spiraling into an ocean of mediocrity none the wiser.
We have all been caught asking ourselves questions like "what have I done with my life" and "where is my life going?" Sadly, I woke up to that realization at thirty years old, I guess I'll live up to a hundred and twenty years because my quarter life crisis came late! I never thought that life would catch up with me, I thought the future would remain in the future, and dreams will have a their own way to reality. I am thirty and I became someone I said I wouldn't be... A SLACKER.
